Martiniano shoes are handmade in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Martiniano Lopez Crozet, designer and founder, launched his first collection in February 2012. The brand is known for traditional craftsmanship and for its comfort.
All Martiniano shoes are handmade from kid leather dyed using anilines. Aniline dyed leathers are the most attractive and natural leathers and are prized for their soft natural feel. The surface is not covered with a topcoat of paint or insoluble pigment. The resulting product retains the hide’s natural surface and grain, including visible pores.
Martiniano’s aesthetic is centered on simplicity, austerity, and understated elegance, in which the slight quirks and anomalies arising from the natural qualities of the material and the craftsmanship are embraced as essential to the uniqueness of the object.
